Ferrari have revealed their new 2026 race suits, but one detail has already sparked criticism.
Scuderia Ferrari unveiled the new race suits for the 2026 season through a video shared on social media, with Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton acting as the models, and criticism was quick to follow. The design has clearly changed, although red remains the dominant colour. White, however, is far more prominent than in recent years.
The new suits feature stronger white accents, particularly on the shoulders, around the neckline, along the sides of the torso and down the legs. This detail immediately brings to mind the 2007 race suits worn by Kimi Räikkönen and Felipe Massa, which also featured a significant amount of white.
Sponsor logos are positioned on the upper chest, while the iconic Prancing Horse remains central, standing out against the blue of title sponsor Hewlett-Packard, or HP. It is precisely this contrast that has already generated criticism even before the 2026 car has been launched. Just as happened in 2025, the presence of blue on Ferrari red is not appreciated by everyone, and many fans are hoping that some changes can still be made to make the overall design more visually appealing.
The detail on Ferrari’s race suits
“Take my money, my wallet and everything you want. I need this RIGHT NOW,” commented one fan in response to the video shared by the Maranello team. “I actually like the suits, the white looks nice. I hate that the shoes are a different colour though, they literally look like clown shoes,” added another supporter.
The real detail on Ferrari’s 2026 race suits that has already drawn criticism from fans, and not only them, is precisely the contrast created by the large blue HP logo. Even last year many supporters turned their noses up at the presence of that colour on the red of the iconic Scuderia, but understandably it is important for the team to properly represent its title sponsor.
The new look will likely be echoed by the team’s staff and official merchandising, as well as by the new SF-26 livery, which will be unveiled on 23 January. For this reason, some fans are calling for changes to the design of the Hewlett-Packard logo itself.
“HP could get rid of the blue, please,” asked one fan.
“If the logo won’t be white on the car, I’ll tell everyone I know and meet not to buy, look for or ever deal with HP,” continued another commenter.
“You wanted negative publicity, well, here it is. Why does the logo work on the Real Madrid shirt but not on a Ferrari???” reads another complaint.
The car’s livery will be unveiled in just a few days, and we will then see what the Scuderia have decided. Will they have listened to their fans, or will the blue remain, just as it did last year?
