Ferrari returned to the Fiorano circuit for another day of testing as part of its TPC (Testing of Previous Cars) program. According to @RobertoF1 on X, it was Arthur Leclerc, younger brother of Charles Leclerc, who took to the track for this latest development session.
The Fiorano circuit gets a major upgrade
Meanwhile, Ferrari’s activity in Maranello goes far beyond the usual on-track testing. The Fiorano track has been expanded and modernized, effectively “doubling” its capacity. A new section has been built alongside the historic circuit, designed for more extreme simulations, limit testing, and advanced aerodynamic trials. In addition, the innovative Vortex system has been integrated into the new layout to generate controlled air vortices, allowing Ferrari engineers to study how the car behaves in unstable aerodynamic conditions.
This system will help the Scuderia gain deeper insights into car stability and aerodynamics, representing a major step forward for internal development work. With these updates, Fiorano is becoming an even more advanced testing center, offering new opportunities to refine setups and test radical design concepts before they appear on the Formula 1 car.
Arthur Leclerc back in the cockpit for Ferrari
For Arthur Leclerc, the Fiorano run was another valuable step in his growth within the Ferrari environment, following his previous testing appearances. His participation underlines Ferrari’s commitment to involving young drivers from its development ecosystem in key technical programs, giving them hands-on experience with Formula 1 machinery.
The session was held behind closed doors, but a short video clip shared by @RobertoF1 on X has surfaced online, showing Arthur on track in Ferrari colors. Click here to watch it.
