Rear wing comparison between Scuderia Ferrari, Red Bull, Mercedes and the rest of the Formula 1 teams at the Jeddah Corniche circuit ahead of the 2023 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix weekend:
Scuderia Ferrari and Red Bulll are running a very similar specification: the Maranello team’s drag advantage and Red Bull’s downforce advantage (in Bahrain) should equalise in Saudi Arabia.
Mercedes will have reduced DRS effectiveness (unloaded upper plane)
Alpine has the ‘deepest’ lower plane spoon
Scuderia Ferrari will also run the (hopefully stiffened!) single-pylon rear wing, which is slightly more loaded than the wing they ran at the Bahrain International Circuit. However, Saudi Arabia is a track where teams run less loaded wings. This shows how suboptimal the SF-23 car setup was in the first round of the season.
