Could Ferrari unveil another special livery for the 2026 Miami GP? Strong hint emerges from leaked merchandise
The Scuderia from Maranello has now become well known for arriving at the Florida round with exclusive merchandise and bold, unconventional liveries featuring shades of blue. Ferrari could follow the same path again in 2026 during the Miami Grand Prix weekend, as a new clue appears to come from what looks like the cap that Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton are expected to wear.
The Prancing Horse may once again present itself in Miami with a refreshed visual identity. Of course, in Formula 1 performance remains the top priority, but Ferrari is also expected to showcase its strengths on that front. The upcoming upgrade package is set to cover a significant portion of the car, including the front wing, the small FTM winglet positioned ahead of the exhaust, and several other aerodynamic components. These developments should deliver improved aerodynamic efficiency as well as a reduction in overall weight.
However, shifting focus back to aesthetics, many fans will remember how this “tradition” first began in 2024. On that occasion, Ferrari celebrated its 70-year connection with North America by introducing the Azzurro La Plata and Azzurro Dino color schemes. In 2025, the team attempted something less universally appreciated, which sparked considerable debate among fans. The question now is whether Ferrari will once again alter its livery for the Miami Grand Prix in 2026.
SF-26 with yellow accents and a touch of blue?
Based on early spoilers that have surfaced on X, the cap that the two Ferrari drivers are expected to wear appears to feature two distinct shades of blue: a darker tone alongside a lighter sky-blue variation. What stands out even more, however, is the addition of yellow in the area where the iconic Prancing Horse shield is positioned.
It seems unlikely that the SF-26 will be completely covered in these colors, but it is far more plausible that certain design details could be updated. Yellow has always been Ferrari’s original color, as well as the historic color of Modena, the birthplace of Enzo Ferrari.
Such a choice would represent a meaningful nod to the team’s heritage, although there is always the risk of overcomplicating the design. The partnership with HP has not always resulted in perfect visual integration on the car, and striking the right balance remains crucial.
There is, naturally, a great deal of curiosity surrounding Ferrari’s potential Miami appearance. However, it is also possible that the Maranello-based team is simply focusing on creating eye-catching merchandise for fans, while keeping the SF-26’s livery unchanged from a graphical standpoint.
The last time yellow featured prominently on a Ferrari Formula 1 car dates back to 2022, during the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. Whether history will repeat itself in Miami remains to be seen.
