Scuderia Ferrari have been ringing in the changes for the all important 2019 season, focussing on bringing in the correct people to rectify all that went wrong during that 2018 challenge. And it looks like the members of the media will now be greeted by the charming presence and familiar face of Silvia Frangipane Hoffer at the Maranello team this year. According to reports from Italy, the Scuderia has replaced press officer Alberto Antonini – a man loyal to ousted team principal Maurizio Arrivabene – with the well-known former McLaren PR woman.
Silvia Frangipane Hoffer had been handling PR and communication duties for the Woking-based outfit since 2010. She was also assigned to Fernando Alonso during the Spaniard’s Indy 500 endeavor in 2017.
Managing communications for Ferrari has been a complicated affair in the past few years. But as the consummate and devoted professional, Silvia should manage to cope with the pressure and whirlwinds typically associated with the task. Now, post Maurizio Arrivabene’s exit, Ferrari’s press officer, Alberto Antonini has too left the team, according to a report from Italian journalist, Leo Turrini. Silvia Hoffer Frangipane would be replacing Antonini, having already worked with Fernando Alonso in the communications role. Frangipane had a good relationship with Arrivabene and thus decided to leave post his sacking.
