Scuderia Ferrari officially presented its new car for the 2022 Formula 1 season, as the Maranello team kickstarts its title bid – with the added intrigue of descovering the F1-75 for the first time.
It has already been a busy pre-season with six teams officially revealing their all-new cars so far, and it ramped up today as Formula 1’s most successful team took centre stage for an eagerly anticipated launch.
Ferrari took the wraps off their car – the F175 which celebrates an illustrious Scuderia anniversary – earlier today in Maranello. In the digital launch from Italy, drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz were both involved before a shakedown of the car ahead of the first official pre-season testing session, which takes place the following week.
With new regulations in place for the 2022 campaign, teams will be hoping to give themselves an upper hand over their rivals in the first few races.
And Ferrari have now unveiled their new F1-75 with pre-season testing just around the corner. Speaking at the unveiling, Charles Leclerc gave his first impressions of the car: “I love it. I really, really like it. I will love it even more if it’s fast on track but I absolutely love the look.”
His Maranello teammate Carlos Sainz added: “I think it looks aggressive, it looks radical, and beautiful too and, as Charles says, I just hope it’s fast.”
Ferrari therfore enters a new Formula 1 era – with a rules overhaul aimed at improving wheel-to-wheel racing – with lofty ambitions.
