Scuderia Ferrari also concluded the final morning of testing in Barcelona. This morning, Oliver Bearman, a reserve driver and member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, took to the track, driving the 2022 F1-75 at the Circuit de Catalunya.
Oliver Bearman’s Background
In November 2021, the English driver officially joined Ferrari’s young driver program. The following year, he participated in Formula 3, finishing third overall and second among rookies.
In the previous season, Bearman had an impressive performance in F2, securing sixth place in the final standings and again ranking second among rookies.
In the weekends of the Mexican and Abu Dhabi GPs last year, Oliver Bearman also had the opportunity to drive a Formula 1 car for the first time, piloting the Haas in the first free practice session on both occasions.
A few days ago, he was announced as the new reserve driver for Ferrari, joining the confirmed Antonio Giovinazzi and Robert Shwarztman.

These kilometers were undoubtedly valuable for the driver, who aspires to a Formula 1 seat in 2025, with the Haas team potentially offering a seat for him.
According to Ferrari’s schedule, Oliver Bearman is expected to return to the track in the afternoon, still driving the F1-75. However, it is not yet certain whether the number of laps completed and respective lap times will be communicated.
