Ferrari Driver Academy member Oliver Bearman clinched his first F2 victory since last year’s Monza feature race, triumphing after a strong start that saw him overtake polesitter Kush Maini (Invicta) and lead all 28 laps.
While Oliver Bearman made a flawless getaway, Kush Maini struggled with traction and fell to third on the opening lap, with Pepe Marti (Campos) and Taylor Barnard (AIX) both taking advantage.
Championship contender Isack Hadjar also faced difficulties, making a mistake on the first lap that dropped him from fourth to 12th. He was unable to recover and finished in 13th place.
Throughout the race, Kush Maini acted as a rolling roadblock, allowing team-mate Gabriel Bortoleto, championship leader Paul Aron (Hitech), Dennis Hauger (MP Motorsport), and Jack Crawford (DAMS) to pass as he slipped to seventh.
Marti, carrying front wing damage from an early collision with Maini, successfully held off Aron for second place. Despite Aron’s continued streak of podium finishes at every race weekend this season, he has yet to secure a win.
We are expecting Oliver Bearman him to soon be officially announced as one of Haas’ 2025 drivers, with the Ferrari junior very close to securing a place on the grid for the next Formula 1 championship.
