Ferrari Driver Academy member Dino Beganovic has been confirmed to drive in the Formula 3 championship next year for the Prema Team.
The Swedish-Bosnian racing driver started karting in 2011 and won multiple national championships, such as the Swedish OK Junior karting category in 2018. In 2019, Dino Beganovic won the OK category in both the Swedish and Italian championships and finished second in WSK Euro Series the same year.
In 2020 he made his single-seater debut in the competitive Italian Formula 4 Championship with the Prema Powerteam and impressed with the speed at which he got to grips with it. The Ferrari junior secured his maiden pole position in the second race of the campaign and the first victory came at the demanding Imola circuit.
Dino Beganovic finished fourth in the championship and for the following season, he continued with the same team, moving up to the European Formula Regional series. To have the possibility of getting to know the car before the start of the championship, the Ferrari junior was involved in the early races of the F3 Asian series with Abu Dhabi Team by Prema, taking four podium finishes.
He made constant progress in the European Formula Regional championship, securing his maiden pole position in the last round of the season at Monza and his first podium finish (P2) at the penultimate round in Mugello. Once again at Monza, he was leading Race 2 until two laps from the end when he was hit by another car, which did not allow him to take his first victory.
