Ferrari has shared with the Italian trade unions signatories of the Agreement on the Competitiveness Award, based on company performance indicators, an integration of the Award for 2020 equal to Euro 2,100 gross with disbursement scheduled for next April, which brings the total value achievable by each employee at Euro 7,526.14 gross.
The recognition of this disbursement is added to the important measures already shared that allow to consider as working days even those of the period of suspension of production activity, from 16 March to 4 May 2020. During these seven weeks the employees, whose duties were incompatible with remote work, received a regular salary, without any recourse to social safety nets but with paid leave which was paid by the company. Similarly, absences that, on the basis of specific certifications, are caused by the extraordinary event of the pandemic will not be considered for the purpose of calculating the amount of the Bonus. All these measures will allow the vast majority of workers to obtain a premium increased by 7% ”.
Growth in the number of employees
The Group’s personnel increased by 6.3% in 2020 to over 4,500 units worldwide, thus continuing the growth of previous years. With regard to 2021, 50 new employees have already been hired at the Maranello factory, for the transition to the two shifts of the 8-cylinder bodywork department scheduled between April and May.
Back on Track
The “Back on Track” program was introduced last April following the pandemic with the aim of making the workplace safer and promoting the psychophysical well-being of employees. Ferrari was among the first companies to offer their people and their families voluntary serological tests (over 25,000 tests delivered) and the first in the Emilia-Romagna Region to introduce rapid tests last November (over 15,000 doses delivered ). The Company has also made its infrastructures available to the local AUSLs to carry out screening and, as soon as possible, vaccinations for citizens against coronavirus.
Training
For Ferrari, attention to people also means taking care of increasing their skills. During 2020 Ferrari provided, in compliance with the anti-contagion legislation, over 63,000 hours of training to employees, largely remotely, up by about 11% compared to 57,000 hours in 2019.
Services for employees and their families
Despite the difficulties caused by the pandemic, last year Ferrari also organized the Summer Center for over 330 children of employees, a popular opportunity for children to get together and socialize and preparatory to returning to school. Ferrari also reimbursed the cost of school books for the children of around 700 employees and provided 57 scholarships for the most deserving students. In 2020, the Formula Benessere project guaranteed, in a phase in which various health facilities have limited or suspended activities, over 1,100 specialist visits for workers. Thanks to the Junior Wellness Formula Project, over 650 children of employees have undergone a medical check-up which includes over 10 specialist visits.
Finally, “Al Posto Tuo” was introduced: a new service offered to all employees who can access a service point for the handling of their bureaucratic tasks, thus improving work-life balance.
