Ferrari has begun building anticipation for its home Formula 1 race at Monza, releasing a short teaser that appears to point towards a special announcement ahead of the 2026 Italian Grand Prix.
The Maranello team published the video on 25 August with a brief message indicating that home was calling. No further explanation was provided, leaving Ferrari fans to speculate about exactly what the Scuderia intends to reveal before its return to the Italian Grand Prix at Monza.

Ferrari Monza teaser could be linked to special SF-26 livery
Although Ferrari has not revealed the meaning of the teaser itself, its timing is particularly noteworthy. The team is already working on a special Michael Schumacher-inspired SF-26 livery for the 2026 Italian Grand Prix, making that project the most obvious potential connection to the announcement.
The planned design is expected to draw inspiration from Michael Schumacher’s first Ferrari season in 1996 and incorporate distinctive black accents alongside the traditional red. Such a tribute would give Ferrari an especially symbolic appearance at its home Grand Prix, connecting the current SF-26 with one of the most important eras in the team’s Formula 1 history.
Schumacher joined Ferrari in 1996 before becoming the central figure in the Scuderia’s extraordinary run of success at the beginning of the 2000s. His achievements remain a defining part of the team’s identity, and Ferrari’s plans for Monza would bring that heritage back into focus during one of the most emotionally significant weekends of its season. Fans can revisit more from the seven-time world champion’s years at Maranello in the site’s Michael Schumacher archive.
Monza set to become Ferrari’s next major focus
The teaser also marks the beginning of Ferrari’s build-up towards the Italian Grand Prix, where Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will race in front of the Tifosi at the team’s most important home event of the year.
For now, Ferrari has deliberately kept the nature of its announcement under wraps. The combination of the Monza-themed teaser and the already planned Schumacher-inspired livery, however, means attention will now turn to when the Scuderia chooses to reveal exactly what it has prepared for the 2026 Italian Grand Prix.
