Lewis Hamilton’s adventure with Ferrari hasn’t brought the British champion much satisfaction so far, and Miami is no exception. Number 44 doesn’t hide the ongoing difficulties faced in these early races and is already looking beyond the Florida weekend.
Ferrari indecipherable, Lewis Hamilton looks for solutions
Qualifying in Miami is a nightmare for an indecipherable Ferrari, especially for Lewis Hamilton. After qualifying, the Brit analyzed the situation of a seemingly incomprehensible car: “The day started well, I wanted to improve the feeling with the car but couldn’t manage to. I set a good time on used tyres, but with new ones I couldn’t improve. The tyres overheated and I just couldn’t go any faster. We’re all scratching our heads trying to figure out how to improve this car.” – the seven-time Formula 1 world champion admitted.
The start of the 2025 Formula 1 season has brought plenty of headaches for the Maranello team: “We’ve had six races so far, but we’re struggling a lot.” Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari are still in the dark: “Whatever we do to the car, the situation remains very inconsistent on track. We’ve had problems with the brakes, with stability… Overall, we’re just not fast enough. Even getting into Q3 is hard for us now.”
Lewis Hamilton won’t give up: he’ll return to the factory right after Miami
The outlook for the Miami race isn’t great, but Sir Lewis isn’t giving up and is already looking ahead to Imola. Before the Santerno weekend, the British champion plans to return to Maranello to help the team find solutions. “It’ll be tough in the race, but we’ll try again, although for me it’s always like this, I’m used to it, that’s how it is. I’ll keep trying, next week I’ll be back at the factory and we’ll keep working on it.”
