Carlos Sainz completed only seven laps in the second free practice session of the Dutch Grand Prix, held back by clear issues with his Ferrari SF-24 single-seater.
Low expectations meet new problems…
In addition to the low expectations for the Zandvoort weekend, given the decision not to bring the originally planned updates, Ferrari has more to worry about.
A problem was detected in the gearbox and transmission area of Carlos Sainz’s car number 55 in the second free practice session for the 2024 Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix. This unforeseen issue forced the team to dismantle the car in order to work on restoring it to its original condition.
As a result, the Spanish driver had to miss almost the entire second free practice session. In short, Ferrari’s weekend is shaping up to be even more challenging than anticipated.
