Oliver Bearman on track at Fiorano
Oliver Bearman is the Ferrari Driver Academy driver who will have the opportunity to participate in the two free practice sessions reserved for young drivers, and he will do so at the wheel of the Haas in Mexico and Abu Dhabi. These events do not include the Sprint format and are not new additions to the calendar, unlike Las Vegas.
The English driver, born in 2005, made his debut today driving an F1 car at Fiorano. Oliver Bearman drove the 2021 Ferrari SF-21, as per regulations, these kinds of private tests allow the use of “dated” cars that are at least two years old.

Oliver Bearman won the Italian and German F4 championships in 2021 and finished third in F3 one year ago, with a victory to his name in the championship won by Victor Martins ahead of Zane Maloney. This season, he is competing in Formula 2 with the Prema team and is sixth in the standings, just one point behind Victor Martins, in the battle to become the Rookie of the Year, with four wins to his name. Next year, F2 will undergo changes with the arrival of the new car with ground-effect features, and Oliver Bearman could have the Italian driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli as his teammate.
