Charles Leclerc inaugurated the new LEC ice cream line and immediately improvised a comparison with Ferrari. The Monegasque driver also explained why he chose to undertake this project and shared its story during a press conference which took place earlier today in Milan.
“Guido, my partner along with Federico in the project (both members of GROM), worked his magic until he found more and more details for the taste that lingers in the mouth. I learned many things, but I didn’t think about why I liked it so much.”
“The Chocolate Crunch flavor is the one that most resembles Ferrari this season. There’s something crispy, and we can aspire to something very nice during this season. Many celebrate with ice cream after the race, so this idea is also beautiful for that reason. Even Carlos Sainz is very fond of it, for example.” – he pointed out.
“I have dedicated my life to Formula 1 and will continue to do so forever. Since I was driving karts, I remember the presence of ice cream vendors; there was always a way to have ice cream between one session and another. So, we met with Federico, and he wanted to know more about Formula 1.” – the Ferrari man added.
“There, we shared our experiences, and from there, I learned about their experience with ice cream. It was my first year at Ferrari, and I had this idea of opening an ice cream parlor in Monaco, initially part of a small project. According to him, something bigger had to be done, and there needed to be a big project.”
“You have to be careful about nutrition. We started from this, and I saw many common points. Not only athletes watch calories, everyone does. I love ice cream, but you have to be careful. Hence this project was born. It was important for me to give the maximum of this message,” Charles Leclerc concluded in the press conference for the presentation of his new ice cream brand.
