The new Ferrari F1 car for the 2017 season, whose presentation will take place next Friday in Maranello, will pay tribute to the history and the glorious legacy of the brand. The prestigious Italian manufacturer will celebrate 70 years of existence this season and the Prancing Horse Formula One car makes a reference to this important landmark. After the SF16-H in 2016, the Ferrari of 2017 would be called SF70-H with the number 70 to celebrate this anniversary.
A petition on social networks had suggested Scuderia Ferrari honor the memory of its test pilot Jules Bianchi by including the name “JB17”, with number 17 corresponding to the figure of French young driver, but Scuderia Ferrari management decided for a different approach.
