Ferrari aims to build on the momentum of Charles Leclerc’s podium in Jeddah, the team’s first of the 2025 Formula 1 season. The Scuderia is hopeful of a strong showing in Miami, where the second of the six scheduled sprint races will take place this year.
Team principal Frédéric Vasseur, before diving into the technical aspects of the American race, is eager to highlight the importance of the partnership with the main sponsor, which began last year in Florida. On this occasion too, the Scuderia has unveiled a special livery for the first of three races in the United States this season.
“After spending a few days in Maranello to analyze the data collected during the first triple-header of the season, we are ready to hit the track in Miami—a unique race in many ways, where we will have the opportunity to celebrate one year of collaboration with our title partner HP.”
According to reports, Ferrari is not expected to bring any updates to Miami, as the sixth round of the calendar follows a sprint weekend format that offers limited time for free practice. Fred Vasseur emphasizes simulator preparation as crucial for Ferrari’s performance in Miami, where limited practice time and a Sprint format raise the stakes.
“In Florida we face the second Sprint weekend of the season, for which we’ve prepared as best we could at the factory, since we will only have one hour of free practice before going straight into qualifying for Saturday’s Sprint race. Therefore, the work done in the simulator and during preparation briefings carries even more weight. We want to keep making progress in terms of performance, following the encouraging signs shown by the SF-25 in the Bahrain and Jeddah races.” – the French manager concluded ahead of the Miami Grand Prix weekend.
