Ferrari boss Frederic Vasseur has recently taken the reins of the Italian side, after gaining extensive experience with other teams. After months during which it had not been officially established, he will be moving to Bologna with his family from September to be closer to the team, also convinced by the spirit of Maranello. The French manager, in fact, has been in the environment for years, yet he has noticed something in the Scuderia that he has never found in other places. And perhaps this is what makes the Cavallino so special in the eyes of its fans, both in Italy and abroad.
“The passion around the team is immense. Every morning when I arrive at the office, there are people buzzing at the entrance. It’s a great drive, even though sometimes it doesn’t help when you need time and calm to grow. Then, the working atmosphere: in the paddock, when it was speculated that I could come to Ferrari, everyone was telling me ‘you’ll see what a mess, what internal fights.’ It’s completely false. It’s an idea that people have formed and gotten used to repeating. But if I compare Ferrari to other teams, even those I’ve been with, the atmosphere is really good. I’m always critical of myself and push everyone: the worst thing for a team is to be complacent and relaxed. We discuss a lot, and today at Ferrari, around a table, we don’t blame each other,” Fred Vasseur said in an interview with Italian daily newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport.”
