In the first free practice session for the 2021 Turkish Grand Prix, Scuderia Ferrari will use in the rear of the SF21 the pylon of sensors and flow measurement devices that we saw for the first time in Abu Dhabi last year.
Like Aston Martin, which is focused on investigating the front end of the AMR21 with two “Eiffel Towers” on the nose of the car, the Maranello team is dedicated to collecting data at the rear of the SF21 car in order to gather fresh information for comparison with the data for the 2022 single-seater that is being developed in Maranello.
The car, which is recognizable by the design code 672, is defined in the mechanical part, chassis and suspension, and in the power unit (the hybrid system is already used on the cars of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz), while the aerodynamics is still the result of research and development.

Ferrari is working hard for the best integration between the information collected from the track and the simulation systems: CFD, wind tunnel and the brand new DGM simulator of Dynisma which has passed the first calibration phase and is now active in the development of the ground effect car for 2022.
It is no longer the time to talk, but the team led by Mattia Binotto is more than ever involved in nurturing a Ferrari car which has the obligation to bring the team back to fighting for race wins after two years of spent in the midfield group.
The Ferrari team principal has given up on the trip to Istanbul to closely follow the work being done in the factory but will not lose the sessions on the track by connecting from the Remote Garage of the Maranello team.
