The Formula 1 paddock now heads to the legendary Temple of Speed for the second and final Italian round on the 2025 calendar. All eyes are on Ferrari, coming off a disastrous double retirement in the Netherlands. Expectations from the passionate Tifosi are sky-high, and in front of the home crowd, the Scuderia cannot afford another setback. Stay tuned for our live commentary of FP1, starting at 13:30!
The Ferrari fans are already buzzing with anticipation, and the team has made sure not to disappoint them off the track either. First came the tribute to Niki Lauda with a special commemorative livery, followed by exclusive red-and-blue merchandise, unique helmet designs, and a spectacular event staged on Wednesday evening at the Royal Palace in Milan.
The atmosphere is already electric, but now it is up to the drivers on track to erase the bitter memory of the Dutch Grand Prix. Less than a week ago, Ferrari suffered its first double DNF since the Canadian Grand Prix of 2024. Charles Leclerc was eliminated after being hit by Italian rookie Kimi Antonelli, while Lewis Hamilton was forced out due to his own mistake.
Despite the shock of last weekend, Ferrari fans still remember the triumph achieved on this very track one year ago. On September 1, 2024, Charles Leclerc, backed by the Scuderia, pulled off a daring one-stop strategy that ultimately secured a famous victory in Monza.
Repeating that success in 2025 will be a far greater challenge, with McLaren currently holding a clear advantage over their rivals. Nevertheless, the Ferrari drivers and team are determined to give absolutely everything to secure their first win of the season in front of their home fans. While we wait for the main event, all attention now turns to FP1 in Monza – follow every moment with our live coverage on Friday from 13:30.
