F1 | Charles Leclerc remembers the legendary fashion designer Giorgio Armani after his passing
Charles Leclerc wanted to honor Giorgio Armani after learning of the passing of the renowned Italian fashion designer with whom he had the opportunity to collaborate. On the eve of the Italian Grand Prix weekend in Monza, Italy lost one of the most iconic figures of the past century. On Thursday afternoon, news broke of Giorgio Armani’s death, the designer who in recent years had collaborated not only with Ferrari but especially with Charles Leclerc.
The Monegasque driver had been chosen as the face of a 2020 campaign that bridged the worlds of fashion and sport. “He has a fresh face and a dynamic physique that my Made to Measure collection enhances and complements,” Armani had said when explaining why he wanted Charles Leclerc to be part of that project.

For this reason, immediately after receiving the sad news, Ferrari’s number 16 wanted to pay tribute to the designer from Piacenza, sharing his memories. “I think that beyond being an icon in the world, he was also an exceptional person. I remember very well our first meeting in Milan for a fashion show. I know he was very busy at that time, but he still decided to spend a lot of time with me, asking many questions to understand my world. Unfortunately, he has left us, but he will never be forgotten for everything he accomplished,” Charles Leclerc said.
