The streets of the Principality are set to welcome the F1 cars for the final Free Practice session before qualifying: follow the LIVE coverage of FP3 at the Monaco GP. The green light will signal the start of the third practice session in Monte Carlo at 12:30 PM. The live commentary will appear in the space below just moments before the on-track action begins.

Monaco GP schedule: FP3 Free Practice LIVE
The first two sessions on Friday in the Principality revealed a surprisingly strong Ferrari. Through the narrow corners of Monaco, the SF-25 managed to regain decent form, especially with the local hero, Charles Leclerc. The Scuderia Ferrari driver topped both Friday sessions in Monaco, sparking a glimmer of hope among the Tifosi.

Ahead of the weekend, with Ferrari first in FP1 and FP2, there were no particularly positive expectations. Even Leclerc himself wasn’t especially optimistic heading into the weekend between Sainte-Devote, Tabac, and Rascasse. However, the first day on track wasn’t negative for the Maranello team. Fred Vasseur had admitted on the eve of the session: “We’ve worked a lot on improving the single-lap pace,” and Leclerc immediately showed excellent form throughout Friday.

In FP2, Lewis Hamilton also closed in on the Monegasque leader. The British champion ended the Friday afternoon session in third position, behind the McLaren of Oscar Piastri. The gaps in Free Practice 2 between Ferrari and McLaren were very small. The papaya-colored cars seem capable of challenging Leclerc’s lead, but nothing is certain. Will Ferrari stay on top in Monaco through Saturday as well? FP3 will certainly give us more answers.
