The gap to Red Bull is 4 points, while Mercedes sits 36 points ahead. After the disaster in Brazil, where both Ferrari drivers retired, the Maranello team must turn things around immediately. It won’t be easy: the Las Vegas street circuit is not favorable to Ferrari, appearing more suited to the Silver Arrows. Last year, Mercedes achieved a one-two finish, with George Russell winning and Lewis Hamilton finishing on the second step of the podium.
Charles Leclerc and Ferrari got the weekend off to an excellent start earlier today in Las Vegas, posting the fastest time in the opening practice session with a 1:34.802 from the Monegasque. Charles Leclerc showed impressive pace right from the start, remaining a top contender on both medium and soft tires throughout the session. The FP2 session for the Las Vegas GP is scheduled to start live at 05:00 Central European Time. Our live coverage of the session will begin around 04:55.

What weather can we expect for the Las Vegas race weekend? Prepare your coat and scarf: a cold weekend lies ahead. During Friday’s Free Practice sessions, precipitation could affect performance on track, with temperatures around 10°C.
Temperatures will be slightly more favorable on Saturday, during the peak of qualifying, though conditions will not improve significantly. Around 12°C is expected, with no rain predicted.
