As happens almost every year, Scuderia Ferrari has unveiled special suits and livery to celebrate the 2023 Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix at Monza, although it hasn’t gained the approval of some individuals, including Lando Norris.
The British driver from McLaren has indeed commented on the aesthetic updates introduced by the Red Team for the home Grand Prix weekend. The new suits, as well as the coloring of the SF-23 car, pay homage to the significant victory achieved at Le Mans a few months ago.
During one of his usual Twitch livestreams, Lando Norris asked his friend for an opinion on the suits that Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc will wear next weekend. “Don’t you think that Ferrari’s suits for this week look much more like those of McDonald’s compared to last year?” “Yeah, I don’t really like the new suits,” was his friend’s response.
Even last year, Ferrari had chosen to celebrate the team’s origins by opting for the famous “Modena Yellow,” present on suits, uniforms, and livery. For this season, the presence of yellow will be less prominent as it will recall the livery of the car that achieved what remains Ferrari’s only major victory in 2023 (so far).

Lando Norris’ reaction wasn’t the only social response to Ferrari’s announcement. Many people, especially on Twitter, have created various memes about the resemblance of the new suits to those of McDonald’s employees. However, it should be noted that the majority of fans have welcomed the new color scheme favorably, especially considering the motivation behind it.
