Formula 1 is expanding into new areas, and this time the spotlight is on video games, with Fortnite becoming an official partner. The sport officially enters the world of Fortnite, one of the most popular video games globally, through a new partnership signed with Epic Games. This collaboration introduces the “F1 Cosmetic Team Set” within the game, available from Thursday, November 20, coinciding with the 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix.
With the F1 Cosmetic Team Set, players will have access to a package including outfits, gliders, and pickaxes customized with the colors and branding of all ten Formula 1 teams. It will also be possible to obtain an official F1 Back Bling and a dedicated Emote to celebrate Victory Royales in style.
Fortnite, renowned for its Battle Royale mode where up to 100 players compete to be the last one standing on an ever-shrinking island, has been a global phenomenon for years. Its vibrant style, cross-platform accessibility, and massive international community have made it a cultural touchstone in pop culture.
This collaboration is designed to combine two global passions: video games and motorsport. Through the integration of official F1 content, millions of Fortnite users will experience a new form of competition that blends virtual gaming with the thrill of the pinnacle of motorsport.
Commenting on the initiative, Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer of Formula 1, said, “This innovative collaboration with Fortnite is another way for Formula 1 to connect with fans and make itself known in unexpected places. We are obsessed with finding new and exciting ways to engage our audience, making our sport an experience that aligns with their other passions and interests.”
She added, “In recent years, Fortnite has collaborated with some of the biggest brands, sports celebrities, and TV series in the world. We are therefore thrilled that this new integration will allow players to interact with our series 365 days a year and deepen their love for the sport.”
As such, the partnership opens new avenues for fan engagement and enables continuous interaction with the world of Formula 1, even outside real-world circuits.
