The 58 laps at the Yas Marina sunset placed an outstanding Max Verstappen on the top step of the podium, claiming victory in 19 races this season. Behind him, the podium was secured by Charles Leclerc, who maintained his starting position, and George Russell.
The challenges faced by Carlos Sainz after a compromised start from P16 prevented the Ferrari #55 from making significant progress. Additionally, the Scuderia’s strategy, anticipating a Safety Car that never materialized, likely did not help.
As a result, Ferrari’s climb to the second spot in the world championship remains incomplete. Mercedes maintains a three-point lead in the standings.
