Ferrari has reason to believe it can perform well at the Singapore Grand Prix. There is optimism and confidence, yet Lewis Hamilton has highlighted an area that needs improvement. After a period of challenges, Hamilton has regained his smile following a strong weekend in Baku. Although the final result in Azerbaijan did not fully reward the Scuderia, the seven-time world champion rediscovered confidence in the SF-25. At Marina Bay, the goal is to challenge Mercedes and reclaim second place in the Constructors’ Championship.
Singapore presents a challenge within a challenge. The weekend marks the definitive end of the European season on the calendar and is one of the few remaining tracks where the SF-25 has shown competitive potential. After Marina Bay, only Las Vegas may offer further opportunities for the Ferrari drivers, as the team struggles on other circuits. However, with the championship nearing its conclusion, everyone will be looking to outperform their rivals.
The battle for the Drivers’ Championship features Oscar Piastri against Lando Norris, with Max Verstappen always lurking as a formidable threat. Meanwhile, the Constructors’ Championship may be clinched by McLaren this Sunday, but Mercedes, Ferrari, and Red Bull will fight until the final race for second place. In this context, Ferrari can rely on a reinvigorated Lewis Hamilton.
Hamilton: “We need to improve our execution”
The key to a strong result is avoiding mistakes. Lewis Hamilton understands this well, yet he remains optimistic: “I’m optimistic. I believe there are many positive takeaways from the last race. I feel much better in the car. I have always performed very well in Singapore, and I am excited to drive a Ferrari here for the first time. I want to understand what has changed compared to my previous cars and whether we can deliver a strong execution. If we do, we could aim for a significantly better result.” – the British driver concluded.
