While we wait to discover the substantial innovations that teams have planned for the next round of the 2023 Formula One season, the Miami GP, we settle for taking a look at the front wings that have been brought to the American race, which comes immediately after the trip to Baku.
The first aspect we notice is that Scuderia Ferrari has opted for a much lighter front configuration than the solutions shown by Mercedes and Alpine.
On the Scuderia’s stands, we can observe two identical front wings that differ only in terms of different angle of the mobile flap, which is greater in the lower version than in the upper one.
The last element is characterized by a much more undulated trend than what was seen in Azerbaijan, although the small nolder seen a week ago has disappeared in the portion of the wing closest to the adjustment system.
Mercedes and, in particular, Alpine have gone in the opposite direction, loading the angle of the last flap, with an almost linear design as not seen in Formula 1 for some time. Who will be right? We will find out tomorrow in the free practice…
