Over the years, especially after spending so long at Ferrari, Scuderia fans inevitably become familiar not only with the drivers and senior management but also with some of the key people working behind the scenes at Maranello. That is certainly the case for many supporters who have come to know the figures closest to Charles Leclerc throughout his Formula 1 journey.
Among them are his manager Nicolas Todt, the Monegasque driver’s performance coach Andrea Ferrari, and his personal assistant as well as childhood friend, Joris Trouche. It was Trouche who, shortly after Charles Leclerc’s memorable and unexpected victory at Silverstone, revealed that his professional journey alongside the Ferrari driver has now come to an end.
From social media manager to Charles Leclerc’s right-hand man
Trouche first began working with Charles Leclerc in 2022, helping manage the Ferrari driver’s social media channels. Then, from February 2023 onwards, he took on the role of personal assistant, becoming one of the closest members of Leclerc’s day-to-day entourage.
Although their professional partnership has now ended, the close friendship between Trouche and Charles Leclerc remains as strong as ever. That much is clear from the heartfelt message Trouche shared on Instagram.
“Some adventures change your life, and I can honestly say this one definitely did. When I first started by your side, I had no idea just how incredible these years would become. We went through the highs and the lows together, the victories and the disappointments. I saw the driver, but more importantly, I saw the friend, and today I can say that you are one of the most generous people I know. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me. I’ll never be able to thank you enough.”
A heartfelt message for everyone
In addition to dedicating his farewell message to Charles Leclerc, Trouche also paid tribute to Andrea Ferrari, who has been an important figure within the Monegasque driver’s team for many years.
“You taught me so much, more than you could ever imagine. As you always like to say: ‘You helped me become the man I am today.’ Oli and Nicolas Todt, thank you for everything we’ve shared together. I wish you nothing but the very best for the future.”
Joris Trouche also reserved warm words for everyone at Ferrari before finishing with a touching message for the driver from the Principality.
“I also want to say a huge thank you to everyone at Scuderia Ferrari, who welcomed me and treated me like family from day one. You made me feel at home in every paddock and every garage. Charles, this chapter is coming to an end, but you still have to finish the book with Team CL. I know that one day you will become World Champion. I have no doubt about it. Give it everything you’ve got. I’ll always be your number one fan. Forza Ferrari! Daghe!”
