With two weeks left before the official presentation of the new Ferrari Formula 1 car for the 2023 championship (which for now is only known with its project name 675), the Maranello team has recently announced the date and place of the launch of the new single-seater [read this separate article for more details].

Also a few days ago, a photo was published on Scuderia Ferrari’s social media profiles of the hands of a “mechanic” who is preparing to put a sticker with the number 16 on the engine cover of the new 2023 F1 car.

Below you can find the post on Instagram with the photo and an image comparison made by the Italian website circusf1.com, with the purpose of pointing out some details of the engine cover of the Ferrari F1-75 that took part in the 2022 Formula One season.

What can be observed is a different color and also a different trend of the “fin” placed above the engine cover itself. In particular, the 2023 version seems to have a variation in slope, near the yellow arrow, while the version used in 2022 had a more linear shape.
