Among the many photos that Red Bull wanted to show Max Verstappen at the celebration organized to honor his third Formula 1 World Championship, there is one in particular from his childhood that has piqued the interest of Ferrari fans. The photo in question immortalizes a very young Verstappen wearing a red jumpsuit with the prancing horse logo visible, and Max took the opportunity to showcase the image in front of Christian Horner.
Baby Verstappen in Ferrari fan mode: the photo that has gone viral on the web
“Everyone is a Ferrari fan. Even if they say they’re not, they are Ferrari fans,” said a certain Sebastian Vettel a few years ago, a driver who certainly left an indelible memory in Maranello.
The former German champion, and the first driver to bring Red Bull to success, left the Milton Keynes team to join Maranello in the distant year 2015, racing for the most successful team in F1 history until 2020.
It can be said that Max Verstappen has, in a sense, followed the same career path that eventually led him to dominate Formula 1 with the team made great by Sebastian Vettel from 2010 to 2013.
And so, amid the celebrations for yet another title, there was room for a funny moment between the Dutch superstar and his team principal.
After being crowned champion for the third time, the team wanted to honor him by hanging a series of photos depicting the key moments of Super Max’s career and more. Red Bull, of course, knew exactly what was coming and did not miss the opportunity to share the photo of the young Max dressed in red on social media.
“So it’s true what they say,” commented the official Red Bull account, tagging the Ferrari profile. The image in question quickly went viral, with fans of the Scuderia being able to, at least for once, associate Max Verstappen with the prancing horse. Fortunately for Red Bull, the Austrians can enjoy the Dutchman for a long time, as they hope to continue the winning streak that began in 2021.
