Charles Leclerc returned to the spotlight with a flawless qualifying session at Interlagos, securing third place, regaining pace, and showing plenty of determination ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix. After a challenging Friday, the Ferrari driver completed a clean and precise session, signaling that the SF-25 is once again providing confidence and control even on the most demanding circuits of the season.
Speaking to Sky, Charles Leclerc explained the work done with his team to improve the car’s setup, revealing some decisive technical adjustments: “We did everything right. I followed my instincts on every decision, reducing a bit of downforce, and that helped us. It didn’t completely solve the issues on the straight, but it was a good step forward. We still don’t have a precise explanation of what’s happening there.”
The Monegasque also praised the efficiency of the team and the focus maintained throughout a weekend that could easily have become complicated: “Great work by everyone, once again a perfect execution throughout the weekend. The qualifying session was managed perfectly, and this helped us a lot.”
Charles Leclerc also took the opportunity to celebrate Ferrari’s triumph in the WEC, highlighting the importance of the team’s success in Bahrain and the unity across all departments: “We won the WEC after 53 years, I’m super happy for Ferrari and for the team in Bahrain. It’s a huge result for the entire company, and it gives us extra motivation.” – the 28-year-old driver added.
The determination of #16
Finally, attention turns to the race: Charles Leclerc’s determination is at its peak, and he doesn’t hide his desire to aim high on a track he hasn’t had much luck at recently. “I’ve been racing for eight years and haven’t been on the podium here in Brazil since I started in Formula 1. I hope this is the time. In the race? I go at turn 1. If they give me space, I go.”
This statement comes across as a clear promise of battle against Lando Norris and Kimi Antonelli, with Leclerc ready to push hard from the very start to chase the podium that has eluded him at Interlagos for too long.
