Cars are back on track for FP1 of the Bahrain GP, the fourth round of the championship — follow the live coverage with us.
Formula 1 returns to the track for the fourth race of the 2025 season. After the first three rounds held in Asia and Australia, the teams move to the Middle East to race at the Sakhir circuit. Follow the live coverage of FP1 with us, held on the track that joined the calendar in 2004 and hosts the Bahrain GP.
The team in the spotlight is undoubtedly Ferrari, which is introducing a new floor in an attempt to widen the operating window of the SF-25 — a car that, in the first three races, has shown difficulties in rotating through corners, partly due to a rear end that needs protecting.
The arrival of this new spec is hoped to partially rekindle the hopes of the Scuderia and its fans. However, according to information reported by the Italian media, the new floor won’t be a cure-all and deeper changes will be needed. Despite the preemptive pessimism, the Sakhir round will serve Loic Serra, Diego Tondi, and the entire team to assess the effectiveness of the updates and, above all, to discover whether the changes have been made in the right areas.
The fight for the championship — barring surprises and upsets — is between the two McLaren cars and Max Verstappen, winner of the Japanese GP. McLaren, which yesterday officially announced its entry into the WEC starting in 2027, is thus expanding its commitment to motorsport.
FP1, however, is not expected to fully reflect the weekend’s pecking order, as the key on-track action on Saturday and Sunday will take place in the late Bahraini afternoon.
