F1 Australian Grand Prix 2023: All you need to know. All you need to know.

The Albert Park Circuit is once again ready to hold the F1 Australian Grand Prix 2023 in Melbourne. Are you prepared to watch the competition? Check the dates, tickets, and tips to travel to Australia here.

The F1 Australian Grand Prix 2023 will occur in Albert Park between March 30th and April 2nd. The infamous circuit signed a new contract extension with F1, so Melbourne is an Australian GP destination until at least the end of 2037. The eyes will be on names such as Max Verstappen (Red Bull), Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), and Charles Leclerc (Ferrari), but Aussies’ hearts will be with their countryman Oscar Piastri (McLaren).

The event starts on March 30th, with no F1 cars on the track. The drivers will only occupy the track for free practice on March 31st and April 1st, with the qualifying also on Saturday. The race happens on April 2nd. The exact times have yet to be confirmed, but last year the qualifying started at 4:00 pm, and the Sunday race began at 3:00 pm (both AEDT). The Grand Prix will also feature Formula 2 and Formula 3 races, so these championships are a long-term component of the weekend.

In 2022, the Albert Park Circuit had some renovations to receive the Grand Prix, aiming to promote a faster and more competitive race. The changes will remain in 2023, but there are also new tweaks: seven corners were adjusted, with two removed entirely. The F1 lover can expect a circuit five seconds quicker than the previous version.

Tickets for the Australian GP 2023

Formula 1 is very popular in Australia and an excellent opportunity for F1 fans to travel to the country. That’s why ticket sales are a success, and only a few options are still available. The public can choose between a pass for the entire event, a day pass for each, or a weekend ticket (allowing them to access the park on Saturday and Sunday).

Fans can buy the GP tickets via the official Grand Prix website. In addition, Tixel is the authorized ticket reseller for the event, with fans able to join waitlists. So those who have a ticket but no longer need it can offer it on Tixel. Currently, it’s the only way to find a Sunday pass.
