Carlo Vanzini’s analysis of Ferrari’s weekend
It was an encouraging result, especially considering Ferrari’s recent struggles, as Carlo Vanzini pointed out in his post-race reflections. Speaking in one of his regular YouTube videos, the Sky Sport commentator highlighted how this performance represented an important breath of fresh air for the Maranello team. “Ferrari achieved a result that allows the team to breathe a little,” Carlo Vanzini said. “But it should also make everyone at Ferrari understand that the pressure will always be there. Results are what can ease that pressure and allow people to work more calmly. A podium was important, as was proving they could recover from a difficult start to the weekend.”
Carlo Vanzini also shared his thoughts on the on-track fight between Hamilton and Leclerc, suggesting that Ferrari could have handled it slightly better. “The only mistake they made was in managing the duel between Hamilton and Leclerc,” he explained. “Both of them lost about a second in that moment, but it wouldn’t have changed much overall. That said, Ferrari now needs a podium from Lewis. I didn’t expect only six podiums so far for Ferrari this season — and all of them coming from Charles Leclerc.”
Ferrari’s weekend in Austin marked a step forward in terms of performance and consistency, but as Carlo Vanzini noted, maintaining momentum will depend on both drivers contributing strong results. The focus now shifts to Lewis Hamilton, who will be looking to deliver his first podium for the team in the coming races and help Ferrari continue its recovery in the final stretch of the season.
