While we wait to see it for the first time, and most importantly to see it in action at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, for the first pre-season testing session, Scuderia Ferrari Team Principal Mattia Binotto talked about the first firing up of the F1-75, the car with which the Maranello team’s drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will race in the 2022 Formula 1 world championship, underlining how the moment was special for the whole team.
As confirmed by the Italian-Swiss engineer himself, the creation of the new single-seater was marked by totally new challenges, especially from a technical point of view, and the same will be for the development that inevitably will have to be carried out in the first part of the world championship which will start in March with the Bahrain Grand Prix at the Sakhir circuit.
“The first firing up was a very special moment, more so than at similar occasions in previous years,” said the Ferrari Team Principal – “The F1-75 is a completely new car and is the culmination of a journey we all started together a few years back, working as a united and determined team.”
The Scuderia Ferrari F1-75 official car launch takes place in just one week’s time, on 17 February at 14.00 CET.
