Formula 1 returns in 2026 with plenty of news and 11 teams registered for the championship. Let’s find out which drivers will get to race at their home Grand Prix.
The 2026 F1 season is set to take the grid to 24 circuits across four continents. Drivers come from 15 different nationalities, but which of them will compete in front of their home fans? Let’s find out!
All drivers with a home Grand Prix in 2026
In total, 14 of the 22 drivers will have at least one home Grand Prix in 2026. The season kicks off with Oscar Piastri, who will be at home for the season-opening race in Melbourne this March.
Next, in May, it will be Lance Stroll’s turn, racing in front of the Canadian fans at Montreal—a race he has attended without fail since joining F1 in 2015. Immediately after comes the Monaco Grand Prix, where Charles Leclerc will feel most at home on the streets of his childhood.
Spain is well represented as well, with Spanish fans able to cheer for both Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso during races in Madrid and Barcelona.
British drivers naturally dominate this statistic, with five of them sharing the same home Grand Prix at Silverstone. This group includes Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, reigning world champion Lando Norris, Oliver Bearman, and the rookie Arvid Lindblad, who will be the only new driver on the grid next season.
Elsewhere on the grid, Kimi Antonelli will carry the Italian tricolor, with Monza as his only home race following the loss of Imola. Max Verstappen, on the other hand, will race for the last time in front of his Dutch fans at Zandvoort, which will be removed from the calendar in 2027.
Finally, Mexico and Brazil will be represented by Sergio Perez and Gabriel Bortoleto, respectively, completing the list of drivers with a home crowd cheering them on.
