According to former Scuderia Ferrari driver Felipe Massa, Max Verstappen’s dominance will extend until the 2026 Formula One championship, the year when new technical regulations will come into effect, with this season’s championship already securely in his grasp. With ten victories in the first twelve races of the season, the Dutch driver is on a clear path towards his third consecutive championship title, which he could secure in Singapore if he maintains this pace.
Verstappen will win until the debut of the new technical regulations in 2026, according to Felipe Massa
“I think that until 2026, when the regulations change, Verstappen will win everything,” stated the former Sauber, Ferrari, and Williams driver in an interview for the Spanish publication Marca.
“We will have the same regulations, and Verstappen is superior, the Red Bull car is superior. So, until 2026, we can expect Verstappen to win all titles.” – the Brazilian believes.
These words carry the weight of a boulder on the hopes of fans to witness at least more competitive championships in 2024 and 2025. Since the pre-season testing session in Bahrain, it has been evident that the ongoing season would be dominated by Red Bull, even though a closer contest between Max Verstappen and Segio Perez was expected.
Indeed, the Dutch driver leads the standings with 314 points, a significant 125-point lead over the Mexican driver. Going further down, Max Verstappen boasts more than twice the points of the third-placed Fernando Alonso and three times the points of both Ferrari drivers combined.

“Logically, we will have a major change, with everything being new. We need to understand if Red Bull will be the same as today,” continues the Brazilian former driver. “But for now, I don’t see anyone at the same level as Max Verstappen.”
What is staggering is that these numbers have been achieved in just twelve races, which is only a little over half of the season. If the Dutchman continues with this momentum, he could secure his third world championship title in Singapore, at the fifteenth race of the 2023 Formula 1 season. Provided that Red Bull won’t present another formidable contender like the RB19 in 2026.
