Charles Leclerc’s unexpected karting stint during vacation in Sardinia: the Monegasque driver wins after starting from the last position.
Charles Leclerc simply can’t stay away from racing, even during his time off. While on vacation with friends and his girlfriend in Sardinia, the Monegasque driver decided to get back behind the wheel. Of course, he wasn’t driving the SF-23, but rather a go-kart on the “Pista dei Campioni” in Porto Cervo.
Charles participated in an evening session alongside seven other participants. It wasn’t a planned event, which surprised the others who found themselves on the track with the Ferrari driver. His younger brother Arthur also took part in the event.
The Ferrari man chose to start from the last position to add some challenge. However, his attempt proved to be quite futile, as he was already leading after the first lap. With a remarkable comeback in just four corners, by the end of the first lap, Leclerc had a substantial lead over the competition.
His lap times were unmatchable for the “rivals,” who were all lapped multiple times by the 25-year-old driver. As expected, Charles Leclerc secured the first position, with his brother Arthur following closely behind.
