Get your popcorn ready—Netflix has just dropped the trailer for Formula 1: Drive to Survive 7. The highly anticipated new season of the docuseries, which takes viewers behind the scenes of an F1 season, will be available on the streaming platform starting March 7, 2025.
Last year was full of twists and turns, which Netflix seems to have captured in the ten episodes set to air next month. From the sex scandal that engulfed Christian Horner, with the release of private conversations between him and a Red Bull employee, to the biggest shock of the year—Lewis Hamilton joining Ferrari—Drive to Survive 7 aims to recap the most dramatic moments in its trailer.
There’s no shortage of on-track action, featuring teammate battles and the clashes between title contenders Max Verstappen and Lando Norris, who collided multiple times both on and off the track. Special attention is also given to those who were “kicked out” of the paddock, such as Daniel Ricciardo and Sergio Pérez, both dropped by the Red Bull family last year.
The Drive to Survive Phenomenon
Formula 1: Drive to Survive debuted in 2019 in collaboration with Formula 1. Produced for the Netflix streaming platform, the series provides a behind-the-scenes look at the championship through exclusive interviews with key figures, revealing unseen insights and stories.
Drivers, team managers, team owners, and other F1 personalities share their experiences both inside and outside the paddock, with Netflix cameras even offering glimpses into their private lives.
The docuseries has become a global phenomenon, helping Formula 1 expand its reach beyond its traditional fanbase, particularly in the U.S. However, it has also faced criticism from drivers, who have often questioned the accuracy of the narratives presented.
