Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali and driver Charles Leclerc pay tribute to the late fashion icon Giorgio Armani
Just a few hours ago, the sad news arrived that Giorgio Armani, the undisputed king of Italian style, passed away at the age of 91. Formula 1, like the entire world of sport, paid its respects to this monumental figure in fashion, commemorating the life and legacy of a true pioneer in the field.
The CEO of Formula 1, Stefano Domenicali, spoke about Armani during the Thursday of the Monza Grand Prix, saying: “Giorgio Armani was not only a master of his craft but also an example of passion and creativity that influenced many aspects of culture, including our sport.”
He continued, “His influence extends beyond fashion and reaches the heart of anyone who appreciates design, style, and elegance. Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to his family and loved ones. His legacy will live on forever.”
Joining in the tribute was Charles Leclerc, who had worked with the Italian designer in one of his campaigns back in 2020. After learning the sad news, the Monegasque driver shared an Instagram story saying: “It was an honor to meet and work with an incredible person like you. You will be missed.”
