Dino Beganovic reflects on Ferrari’s support and his ultimate goal of reaching Formula 1. Dino Beganovic, a rising star in the Ferrari Driver Academy, has strengthened his bond with Ferrari.

Dino Beganovic is widely regarded as one of the most promising young talents within the Ferrari Driver Academy, and in recent times, his relationship with the historic Italian racing team from Maranello has continued to grow stronger. Despite exploring opportunities in other racing series, the Swedish driver has reiterated that his ultimate ambition remains to secure a seat in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship.

The young Ferrari protégé has described his current bond with Scuderia Ferrari as “stronger than ever.” In a testament to the team’s confidence in his potential, Dino Beganovic has also been entrusted with a significant development role, contributing to the technical evolution of Ferrari’s 2026 Formula 1 car.

Currently competing in the FIA Formula 2 Championship, Beganovic holds 10th place in the standings. This marks his first full season with the Hitech Pulse-Eight team, and he has already achieved two podium finishes — a solid performance that underscores his rapid development as a driver.

At just 21 years of age, the Swedish driver is considered a rising star in the Ferrari program. This season, he has already had the opportunity to take part in Free Practice 1 sessions at the Bahrain and Austrian Grands Prix, driving the Ferrari SF-25 — an experience that further solidified his presence within the team’s long-term plans.

Dino Beganovic has been affiliated with Scuderia Ferrari since 2020 and proudly wears the Prancing Horse emblem. He has made it clear that the legendary Formula 1 team will continue to play a key role in shaping his professional racing future.

Beganovic reflects on Ferrari’s support

When asked about the impact Ferrari has had on his career so far, Dino Beganovic acknowledged the importance of the team in his journey through the ranks of single-seater motorsport.

The Swedish driver explained that Ferrari has been “obviously a very positive influence,” adding that the team has been “an integral part” of his career development. “They’ve been a major presence in my life since 2020, and the relationship has grown stronger and stronger over time.”

He went on to say that, particularly in recent months, the bond between him and the Maranello-based team has deepened significantly, especially after spending many days behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car and being given the opportunity to participate in official FP1 sessions.

Beganovic highlighted how special it is to be part of “such a big and iconic team like Ferrari,” not only by contributing to the development of next year’s car, but also by being involved in the current season and working closely with some of the most experienced and skilled professionals in the Formula 1 paddock.

Formula 1 remains the main goal

Earlier this week, Scuderia Ferrari granted Dino Beganovic permission to travel to Berlin and participate in the official Formula E rookie test — an event designed to allow reserve drivers or young racers from other championships to gain experience with all-electric single-seaters.

During the session, Beganovic tested the Mahindra Formula E car and finished the day in 15th position. The rookie test was seen as a valuable learning experience, especially as drivers from FIA Formula 2 have started to express growing interest in the future Gen4 Formula E cars — a new generation of electric single-seaters being developed by the FIA and Formula E, set to debut in 2026.

One of the key factors driving this interest is the expectation that these new Gen4 cars will outperform current Formula 2 machinery in terms of overall speed and performance. However, despite the opportunity to explore this alternative path, Dino Beganovic remains laser-focused on achieving his dream of racing in Formula 1.

The 21-year-old driver commented that the Gen4 project “seems interesting” and said it would be fascinating to observe how the championship evolves in the near future. He admitted that he is not yet fully informed on all the technical aspects of Formula E, but he stressed that his goal has never changed.

Beganovic said: “At the end of the day, my main goal — and I think it’s the same for many drivers — is Formula 1. That’s what you work toward ever since you’re a little kid.”

He also acknowledged the high level of professionalism within Formula E, noting that it is an attractive option for many drivers due to the strong competition and the quality of the teams and drivers involved. “It’s definitely something that catches your attention, so I would never completely rule it out,” he said. “But the primary objective remains unchanged.”

With the unwavering support of Ferrari and valuable experience now under his belt in both Formula 2 and Formula 1 machinery, Dino Beganovic continues to push toward a future that, in his mind, must include a place on the Formula 1 grid.
