The highly-anticipated 2023 Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix officially has a date. The FIA confirmed the calendar for next season and announced the Las Vegas Grand Prix will take place on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023. The event will start with a “historic 10 p.m. ‘lights out’.
In August, the group announced that fans could sign up for a ticketing pre-registration. Organizers said at that time that the demand for tickets is expected to “far exceed” the more than 100,000 official spectator capacity as Las Vegas eagerly awaits Formula 1′s arrival.
“A ticket to the Las Vegas Grand Prix will be the hottest ticket in global sport next year,” former Ferrari boss Stefano Domenicali, president and CEO of Formula 1, explained a few weeks ago – “Taking over the sports and entertainment capital of the world for almost an entire week is going to be a game changer for Formula 1 and has the potential to set the benchmark for all global sports and entertainment events in the future. Fans won’t want to miss it.”
The Las Vegas Grand Prix, the penultimate round of the 2023 Formula 1 championship, therefore kicks off at 10pm local time on Saturday 18 November (it will be the fourth time in history an F1 event is held on Saturday). The weekend in ‘Sin City’ has been definitively scheduled from Thursday 16 to Saturday 18 November, but in Europe all the sessions will actually be moved to Friday, Saturday and Sunday with obviously night hours due to the time zone. The race will start when in Italy and in the rest of Europe, the time will be 7 am on Sunday morning. A special dawn, therefore, for the debut of a new layout version of the Las Vegas Grand Prix which promises to be very fast judging by the design of the track that will see the cars speeding along the ‘Strip’ on a two-kilometer straight.
