The layout of the brand-new Las Vegas circuit has raised doubts since the project’s presentation, and the latest photos of the pit lane exit have only intensified the controversies.
As seen in some images circulating on social media, the exit from the pit lane appears to be very narrow and could create issues during the race. For this reason, a familiar topic from recent editions in Monaco might come into play, namely the one related to the white line. Drivers, when exiting the pit lane, must pay attention to the line on the track.
Added to all this is the issue of temperatures. Over the weekend, temperatures are expected to be below ten degrees Celsius when the single-seaters hit the track. This factor will put a strain on the tires, with drivers struggling to bring them up to temperature.
The matter of temperatures is something the organizers themselves admitted to having underestimated. “We didn’t think about it,” were the words of Ross Brawn. “At night, it will be really cold, and I believe that during the race, we could touch 3°C. It will be very difficult to get the cars in a condition to perform at their best.”
