Charles Leclerc remains cautious: “It’s still too early to be confident” | Monaco GP practice. Charles Leclerc tops both Friday practice sessions in Monaco but remains cautious, stating it's too early to be confident.

Charles Leclerc’s comments on his Friday in Monte Carlo, which he ended with the best time in both FP1 and FP2

Charles Leclerc a lion on Monaco Friday

Charles Leclerc set the fastest time in both free practice sessions on Friday in Monte Carlo—a result few expected from Ferrari and the home driver, considering the major struggles of the SF-25 on slow corners and traction. But the Scuderia regained one-lap pace when it mattered most.

Now the outlook for Saturday changes significantly—at least for the fans. However, #16 urges caution, even while acknowledging a solid one-lap pace.

Charles Leclerc ’s words
“Monaco is always very special, not just for me but for anyone driving on this circuit. Friday is for everyone to find their references, so it’s still too early to be truly confident about the weekend,” said #16 in his first comment.

“Still, it was a positive day for us on track: our one-lap pace was good and I felt comfortable in the car, regardless of the compound used. Qualifying will, as always, be crucial here—we need to start at the front if we want to bring home a good result.”
