Amid disappointment and struggle, Charles Leclerc is striving to turn Ferrari’s F1 season around. Behind the wheel of the Ferrari, the Monegasque driver continues to show determination despite the challenges Maranello is facing.
After another bitter weekend at the Singapore Grand Prix, finishing only sixth, Charles Leclerc admitted that the situation remains far from simple, but he has no intention of giving up.
The Singapore weekend confirmed the team’s difficult moment: neither Charles Leclerc nor his teammate Lewis Hamilton were truly competitive in qualifying, despite positive indications from the free practice sessions.
The race further worsened the situation, with Hamilton struggling with brake issues and a final penalty, while Charles Leclerc faced the same difficulties for much of the race.
“It takes energy, but I won’t give up”
Speaking to the media after the race, Charles Leclerc detailed how the brake problem affected his performance: “From lap eight onwards, it was all about managing the brakes,” he explained. “Everyone has to do that on a track like this, but we were in a worse situation, which made everything extremely difficult. The entire race was challenging.”
Despite the frustrations, Charles Leclerc emphasized his commitment to Ferrari’s revival: “It takes a lot of energy, but that doesn’t demotivate me,” he said. “If anything, it drives me even more to try to change the situation. It’s tough, especially after a race where you’re not even fighting for a podium. It’s not a great feeling.”
With five podiums but no victories so far, Charles Leclerc and Ferrari are navigating a transitional season. Yet the message from the Monegasque is clear: motivation remains high, and the hope of bringing the Scuderia back to where it belongs is still alive.
