Charles Leclerc reflects on importance of Ferrari updates for Styrian Grand Prix. Charles on Ferrari updates for next race.

Scuderia Ferrari Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc took part in Thursday’s press conference ahead of the 2020 Styrian Grand Prix, which will also take place at the Red Bull Ring, just like the race from last weekend. Charles confirmed that the Maranello team is bringing some updates on the SF1000 and indicates that the upgrades from the factory for the Styrian Grand Prix should help boost performance.

“We are bringing some updates on the car. We don’t know how much we will gain and if that will put us in contention for a podium. Realistically it’s very difficult. Red Bull and Mercedes are very very quick. I think it will be important that these updates are working the proper way and that we made a step on that. Show that we have been working in the right direction. If not, it will be a bad sign. I think it’s important to use the chance to race again on the same track that this unusual calendar offers us because it will give us an opportunity to carry out a more meaningful comparison. I am confident that these updates will improve the performance of the car. How much is still yet to be seen on track. Let’s see.” – the Monegasque driver explained.

“The podium last week gave confidence to the team that whenever we do everything perfect we can achieve great results. Of course the safety car helped last week and we made the best of our opportunities. I think anything is possible if we do the same this weekend. That’s what we will try to do.” – Scuderia Ferrari Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc concluded.
