F1 | Charles Leclerc ready to surprise at the Brazilian GP
On the eve of the Brazilian Grand Prix at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace, Charles Leclerc appeared relaxed and composed. Coming off two excellent performances in Austin and Mexico City, the Scuderia Ferrari driver attended a calm press conference, fully aware of the tight battle awaiting the team in the final races of 2025.
Leclerc also shared a personal milestone, announcing his engagement to partner Alexandra Saint Mleux, and smilingly said he was very happy with this step in his private life. However, he quickly refocused on the track ahead: “We arrive here with neutral expectations, without getting carried away by the excitement of Austin and Mexico. Those were perfect executions, but difficult to repeat.”
The Monegasque emphasized that recent results have boosted the entire team’s confidence: “I am very proud of the work we’ve done in the last two races. We know we are behind McLaren and Red Bull, and on some tracks Mercedes will be more competitive. But if we keep going like this, we can fight until the very end.”
Regarding the Brazilian circuit, Leclerc showed balance and insight: “I love Interlagos; it’s a lively track. I wouldn’t say it penalizes us, but in the past, things haven’t always gone our way. If we get everything right, we can aim for the podium. And if it rains, who knows, we might even surprise ourselves.”
On the Constructors’ Championship standings, he added: “We’re just one point ahead of Mercedes, so it will be a tight duel until the last race. They will be strong in Las Vegas, as they were in 2024, but on other tracks we can compete. Red Bull, with Max Verstappen, has also returned to pushing hard after the Monza upgrades.”
Charles Leclerc then reflected on the significance of wearing Ferrari colors: “Second place is not enough. When you wear these colors, only winning matters. That is Ferrari’s philosophy, and I fully share it. That said, looking at how we started the season and where we are now, the progress has been enormous. The goal remains winning, and it must be even more so in 2026.”
Looking to the future, he smiled again about his private life: “My future wife is always by my side, as is my family… They are fundamental support. And Leo, our dog, is always happy—he doesn’t understand anything about racing.”
With these words, Charles Leclerc confirmed that Ferrari is ready to fight with ambition: the approach is clear, focus is high—now it’s time to truly prove themselves on track.
