Shanghai was a major blow for Ferrari, leaving China battered after an unexpected double disqualification for different reasons. Just days after the checkered flag at the Chinese GP, Charles Leclerc took to social media to speak out: Ferrari is working to change course, and the Monegasque wants a breakthrough in Japan at the Suzuka GP.
With the first double-header of the FOrmula 1 2025 season now behind them, Ferrari welcomes the calendar’s brief break before Suzuka. The Italian team wasted no time, immediately working to apply the necessary corrections to Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc’s cars. In Japan, the third round of the championship, Ferrari aims to climb back up the standings and unlock at least part of the potential that has only been glimpsed in certain moments.
Charles Leclerc wants a turnaround: “Working to change things in Japan”
After overcoming the bitter disappointment of his Shanghai disqualification, Charles Leclerc reached out to his fans on social media. “Last weekend was really tough,” the Monegasque commented. But Leclerc knows how to move forward and wants to do it immediately: “We need to reset and work hard to turn things around in Japan. I’m sure we’ll succeed,” Ferrari’s #16 wrote with confidence.
Finally, the Ferrari driver took a moment to thank the fans who supported him in Shanghai over the weekend: “A huge thank you for all the support you gave me. It’s always amazing to feel such great support in China. It means a lot to me!”
Loic Serra hints at Ferrari updates: new floor for Suzuka?
Following the underwhelming performance in Melbourne, where Ferrari had to adjust its setup mid-race for the first time—a change Leclerc himself revealed during the weekend—Loic Serra immediately returned to Maranello. The Scuderia’s technical director, alongside his team, has been working to fix the issues that make the SF-25 a “Rubik’s Cube”—difficult to understand and tricky to balance. In Japan, Fred Vasseur’s team could even introduce the new floor ahead of schedule, originally planned for the Bahrain round.
