Scuderia Ferrari Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc confirmed that he remains interested in fashion despite putting some projects on hold in this field. In the Formula 1 paddock, the driver who has always expressed an interest in fashion is seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton. The Ferrari man also pointed out that he has talked with the Briton several times about their common interest and that he intends to continue some projects more serious in the future, most likely after he will end his Formula 1 career.
The Mercedes driver has become known to be the most fashion-conscious man on the Formula 1 grid and he always shows up at the tracks in designer outfits that attract attention because of their exuberance. Lewis Hamilton has even launched his own clothing line, working with with Tommy Hilfiger on the TOMMY X LEWIS collection.
Charles Leclerc was asked if he has discussed with Lewis Hamilton about fashion and if the two Formula 1 drivers at times talk about their favorite designers. The Monegasque confirmed that “I really like clothes design. It’s definitely the creative element that inspires me. I can draw but whether I would sketch my own collection, I don’t think I have that level. I have got very clear ideas of what I like but not at the point I can design my own. I have spoken to Lewis very briefly [about fashion], congratulated him for his new collection. He really has good taste and a lot of courage to show off the strangest looks when he comes to the circuits. He’s doing a great job with the brand, and I quite like what he’s doing. It’s definitely something I’d like to do further down the road.” – Charles added.
The Scuderia Ferrari driver also confirmed that he still intends to launch his own clothing line like the Mercedes man, explaining that “I had started the project, but I stopped. Maybe in the future.”

In an episode of the Netflix series ‘Formula 1: Drive to Survive’, Charles Leclerc was asked by a fan about those plans with his former Maranello teammate Sebastian Vettel pointing out that Scuderia Ferrari did not allow him to work on the project due to contractual issues: “He’s not allowed,” Vettel revealed. “That’s why it is not happening. Because we have a partner [Puma]. So he was told off. I’m not supposed to say that. But I’m leaving at the end of the year, so I can say what I want, you know.” – Sebastian Vettel said.
